We’re having the same problem in the twenty one pilots sub with their new album. It’s okay if you don’t like the music, but you don’t have to hate on it. Maybe he’s happier now and he wants to make music about having fun instead of being sad. Maybe Brendon is less emo and more of a partier now and that’s reflected in his music. The other songs are less teenage emo than previous songs, but still very on-character for Brendon. High Hopes and Hey Look Ma, I Made It are clearly sentimental and meaningful to Brendon. But.wtf is wrong with that? Am I the only one who is glad Panic! went big on the radio and thinks Brendon deserves all of it? Like, the world is finally realizing the magic of Brendon’s voice and honestly I don’t think the songs are very commercial.
I feel like a lot of the hate PFTW gets is partially because it’s the one that had all the radio hits like High Hopes.
